We open the show with a recap of last weeks events and ultimately the firing of Mick Foley. Am interested to see how this episode pans out as the go home show before Slammiversary. I have seen no spoilers for either so sit back and enjoy the ride.

As you can expect first out tonight is Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. Hogan tells us that as of now the Network have 100% confidence in them. Is it me but sometimes when they want to get something over they pump crowd noise in? Bischoff also tells us that they will also now present the X Division in a fair and balanced manner.

Desmond Wolfe opens up this weeks Xplosion with an interview. Robbie E and Cookie. Robbie introduces himself to Desmond with a fist-bump, then explains that tonight, he is about “G.T.G – Gym, Tan and Gold.” Desmond Wolfe isn’t that impressed, and calls Robbie a “Helen Hunt” in cockney rhyming terms.

Chris Sabin sidelined until 2012

Chris Sabin: On the Shelf Until 2012

Chris Sabin will be sidelined until 2012 after tearing both the ACL and MCL in his knee during a match last month on iMPACT!. He underwent surgery on his injured knee earlier this month.

Sabin suffered the injury during a match against Anarquia at the April 20 iMPACT! taping. He went for a springboard clothesline and tweaked his knee when the Mexican America member was out-of-position to receive the maneuver. The referee was instructed to end the match when it appeared Sabin was injured.

Hello and welcome to another entry of GBT. It’s been a busy few weeks in TNA for us as we head into Sacrafice PPV and I hope to cover them here for you.

TNA is #WINNING

Another week passes and TNA beats WWE AGAIN in the UK ratings war. This is great news for TNA. Many people ask why TNA is  the best and for the answers you should read this article by Ray. It’s a great read.

One Half of the Motor City Machine Guns set to undergo Surgery

Chris Sabin: Set to undergo Knee Surgery

According to Velvet Sky’s Twitter account, Motor City Machine Gun Chris Sabin will be undergoing knee surgery very soon.

Sabin sustained a knee injury when attempting a springboard maneuver during his bout with Mexican America’s Anarquia during last weeks edition of TNA iMPACT!. This was particularly bad timing as this edition also saw the return of Tag-Team partner Alex Shelley from injury.

The Guns were set to begin a program with Mexican America, however given Sabin’s injury, these plans have been changed and Ink Inc. appear to be taking their place in the feud.

I’ve a confession to make, sometimes i just can’t resist reading the TV tapings results/spoilers. I know it takes away from the some of the excitement of the show, but come on, sometimes you jsut can’t wait to see where a storyline or an angle is going.

I must admit, when i saw the tv tapings report for this episode, aside from the comedic value i anticipated from the Karen Jarrett interrogation segment, i wasn’t that excited about anything else on the show. However occasionally there are certain times when the actual show itself comes off much better than the picture presented by the spoilers, this was one of those episodes.

Velvet sky was asked in a fan chat about when would Alex Shelly would return on Impact and her answer was that Alex Shelly will return at this weeks Impact, no word on what his involvement will be on the show.

- Alex Shelley is said to be pretty down lately because this isn’t the first time he’s broken his clavicle and at one point, was wondering if wrestling was the right business for him long-term.

- There has been some talk this past week that Ric Flair would stay heel and feud with AJ Styles, and also take part in the Flair vs. Sting series that was originally planned for 2010 but never happened.
