Report: Matt Hardy Sent Home from WWE Tour, joining TNA in near future?

Matt & Jeff Hardy

A Hardy Boyz re-union in TNA?

I know we don’t normally comment on WWE related matters but thought it interesting that reports are circulating that Matt Hardy was sent home from World Wrestling Entertainment’s ongoing tour of Europe yesterday.

There was concern over Hardy’s condition backstage at yesterday’s SmackDown live event in Minehead, England. That is all we know as of this writing.

Hardy’s issues follow an incident at last week’s live event in White Plains, New York where he was scheduled to team with R-Truth against Luke Gallows and CM Punk. Company sources indicate there was concern over his condition that day too. It’s said that Hardy left the building after officials spoke to him and never returned for his match.

Hardy posted a peculiar message on his Twitter account late last night, writing: “Good Night Earth.. And remember, life is special.. Godspeed everyone.” The enclosed link directs to Jeff Hardy’s video announcement last month that he is going to be a father.

This comes on the heels of Hardy’s huge rant earlier in the month via twitter whereby Hardy claimed to be sick and tired about being overlooked by WWE. Shannon Moore has hinted in the past about the possibility of Hardy jumping ship and joining friends and his brother Jeff at TNA, could these events be a deliberate attempt by Matt to get his release from WWE? Stay tuned….

*UPDATE* – Its since been confirmed from Matt himself via twitter that he is still in England and was NOT sent home as reported by various sites including biggy’s like PWInsider. Will be interesting to see what happens here, and more importantly if the dirt sheet sites retract their statements and issue an explanation about their “WWE Sources”.

*Further Update* It would appear although Hardy was not sent home to the US, he WAS sent back to the hotel from two Smackdown shows. Hardy is reportedly on thin ice with management and it looks likely he could be released in the near future, stay tuned….
