Barring a last-minute change this week, it’s unlikely that Hulk Hogan will be able to make tonight’s live TNA Impact and the TNA Bound for Glory PPV on Sunday night.

Hogan is advertised to make his TV return on the special “Before the Glory” Impact (airs tonight on Spike, Sat 9pm on Bravo here in the UK). He was also scheduled for a six-man tag match at the Bound for Glory PPV. However, Eric Bischoff says Hogan was scheduled for surgery yesterday and that will likely keep him out of action until later this month.

Spoke to Hulk yesterday. He is on the surgery table as I post this getting the spinal cord stimulator surgically implanted,” Bischoff said this morning on his Facebook page. “He will be down for a couple of weeks, but HOPEFULLY this is the solution!”

Bischoff said two days ago on the “Monday Night Mayhem” radio show that TNA has formulated a “Plan B” in the event that Hogan would be unable to attend the live Impact or wrestle at the PPV.

Let’s put it this way, we’ve spent a lot of time over the last two weeks on ‘Plan B,’ because with a back, you can’t sit, you can’t lay, you can’t stand, you can’t walk, you can’t do anything without being in pain,” Bischoff said.

Right now I don’t plan on him being there at either event. I know he wants to be, and I know we have plans in place for him to be. Realistically, considering he can barely get out of his house at this point, I think optimistic to put it mildly that he’s going to be able to participate, but who knows?

At the Bound for Glory PPV, Hogan was scheduled to team with Samoa Joe and Jeff Jarrett against Sting, Kevin Nash, and The Pope in a six-man tag match. TNA will likely address the situation on the live TNA Impact.
