TNA World Hvt. champion Jeff Hardy appeared via a pre-recorded message on this afternoon’s edition of “The Talk” daytime talk show on CBS. Hardy invited a 10-year-old boy to the Impact Zone as his “personal guest.” I thought this was a pretty neat thing to do, and once again demonstrates the length that stars like Jeff and TNA Wrestling as a company will go, very touching.

Hardy’s message was part of a lengthy segment discussing bullying at school. The 10-year-old boy, Tyler Wilson, said he was bullied by kids at school when he tried out for the cheerleading team. Tyler had his arm in a sling after breaking his arm.

Hardy’s pre-recorded message included the TNA logo featured prominently. CBS producers also included footage of the Bound for Glory PPV where Hardy was booked to win the World Hvt. Title. For the message, Hardy sported his traditional facepaint and a purple dress t-shirt and tie.

“Hello, Tyler, in case you can’t see through this wild facepaint, I am TNA Superstar Jeff Hardy, and your friend. We’ve heard about what you’ve been through. And I just want to say I’m so proud of what you’ve done. You stood up to the bullies and stood up for yourself. You’ve been an inspiration for kids around the world,” Hardy said in his video message.

“I have a surprise for you. You’re going to be my personal guest right here at the Impact Zone. Remember, if the bullies have a problem with you, they have a problem with me.”

“The Talk” hosts presented Tyler with a basket full of merchandise and DVDs from TNA. Included were airplane tickets to Orlando to be Hardy’s guest at the Impact Zone.

The CBS show is a new series that debuted earlier this month and has a similar format to “The View.” The hosts include former WWE Raw guest-host Sharon Osbourne.
