TNA’s Eric Bischoff revealed this week that Spike TV has picked up the new Reaction TV show for another ten episodes.

“We did get picked up for another ten episodes, and we’re very, very excited about that,” Bischoff said on the Monday Night Mayhem radio show this week. “We think it’s a great storytelling device, and it gives us a whole new way to present characters, present storylines, let the audience get to know characters in a much different way, I feel in a more intimate way.”

Bischoff also revealed TNA’s production team working on Reaction will be experimenting with some “new things” and features on the show that follows Impact.

“We have been talking about different ways to incorporate some new ideas into Reaction,” he said. “Reaction (is) the type of show that allows us to experiment, and we could try things that we might not be comfortable trying in other formats. Some of it’ll work, some of it won’t. Keep watching, because we’ll be trying new things.”

The new Reaction series had its initial ten-week run from August 12 to October 21. Through eleven weeks, Reaction has averaged 852,000 viewers, representing a 56.6 percent retention of each week’s Impact audience over the same span.

Hopefully with the shows longer term future now stable this will encourage TNA to shop the program to international broadcasters. I personally would love to see the show broadcast here in the UK. Whilst Bravo is a no-go given their impending cancellation, i’m sure Extreme Sports Channel would be interested. Would personally love to see an 11pm start on Extreme Sports so that we can flick over and watch straight away following the conclusion of iMPACT! on Bravo.
