Episode 1 – “Best of Six Sides of Steel“

Aired Friday 19/11/2010 @ 10pm on Extreme Sports Channel

Hosted By: Mick Foley

We open with the old 2009 “TNA Wrestling: Cross the Line” intro with the stars of TNA in the rain, i loved that intro.

We get the kickass TNA Epics intro featuring th likes of AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett, Sting, Hulk Hogan, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Roadwarrior Animal, Macho Man Randy Savage and many more.

We join our host – “The Hardcore Legend” Mick Foley in the studio as he welcomes us to the first episode of TNA Epics. Tonight we take an up close look at the six sides of steel! Some of the most brutal, entertaining cage matches in TNA are on their way tonight. Mick says he is no stranger to the perils of the steel cage, tonight we find out what it’s all about as we start things off with a bang (Mick gives us his “Bang! Bang!” routine) as AMW take on Triple X!

Highlights of America’s Most Wanted defeating Triple X from TNA Turning Point 2004

God i forgot just how much i loved that match, Skipper’s hurricanrana from the top of the cage was unreal! Still shocks me to this day.

Back in the studio with Mick. Mick says the match was simply incredible, and to this day that Hurricanrana from the top of the six sides of steel from Elix Skipper is still talked about. When we come back, one of the greatest and most brutal matches in TNA history as AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels do battle with LAX!

We get a cool six sides of steel promo, which i guess is taken from Lockdown 2009 as Foley and Sting are featured prominently.

Back to the action with Highlights from LAX (Hernandez & Homicide w/Konnan) defeating AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels for the TNA Tag-Team titles at Bound For Glory 2006.

The match is interrupted half way by a commercial break, we come back and are treated to another great six sides of steel music video, set to the lyrical geniuses that are the Smashing Pumpkins. This is all well and good but wheres the conclusion to the match??? Oh here we go, we rejoin the action and get the conclusion to the bout.

We cut back to the studio where Mick is covering his face in fear and asking if he could look yet? Mick thinks that was a brutal match and in his opinion Styles and Daniels relied a little too much on risk taking and athleticism which as LAX proved is sometimes no match for brutality and violence! YEAH!

Up Next the first ever Six Sides of Steel Barbed Wire match!

Highlights from Christian Cage defeating Rhino from the November 16, 2007, edition of TNA Impact!

Mick thinks it was a memorable, bloody, encounter. Feels that although Christian Cage was declared the winner, he sure didn’t look like it when he was GORED! GORED! GORED! through the cage door.

Mick thanks us for joining him and asks us to tune in next time (which happens to be right NEXT!)  when we discover even more Epic moments that make TNA what it is today.

We close out with highlights from tonights matches. Great show.
