although your writings are interesting, one has to question why you are negative. I understand that there are aspects of a show you may not like, but surely if you’re not interested in the content, why watch the program. This site is beginning to enter PW Torch territory and this concerns me. First, we have last weeks article, then this one, then the spoiler for the women’s title match at lockdown. Remember, we’ve not had lockdown here in the UK yet, but the news article informing us about Cerena D’s work takes time to ruin one of the main attractions for lockdown. This comment’s not criticising, just offering up a different viewpoint

James, i felt the need to address the claims of negativity in this peice because i feel their unfounded – i LOVE TNA and i LOVE the product right now more than i ever have – in fact why else would i be running this fansite without making a dime off of it? I have work commitments aswell as a family and a social life, but i love wrestling and i love TNA and i enjoy doing this.

However in order for this article, which afterall is an OPINION peice, to be engaging i need to express that opinion, that includes expressing those things i like and don’t like! And i feel i do a good job of balancing that, but alas situations will arise, like last week were i dislike more than i like. If i don’t express these opinions, then this peice becomes the usual stale “report” that you can find on pretty much every other site out there.

Regarding the spoiler, i offer my sincere apologies, one slipped through the net – i’m trying to balance a home life whilst writing a set of weekly opinion peices and single handedly post ALL news articles in a timely manner, its no easy task and mistakes can be made. However given that this is the FIRST spoiler to ever slip through the net in close to a year of operation i would like to think that yourself and the other readers will give me a bye ball here.

That’s fair enough then. Least you addressed my original post and I am sorry if I came off funny – wasn’t my intention. I just see a lot of general negativity surrounding TNA and it is unfair generally.

Again, thanks for bothering to reply and I’m glad you did.

Great article, totally agree. Would love to see Xplosion become a real second show. Best match of the night was Anderson running the gauntlet, the crowd really got behind it, great stuff.

  3. Austin says:

I don’t think this article is negative at all, in fact i think your a bit too much of a TNA fanboy and are ignore some glaring errors with the product. I dunno what’s going on, but I can’t find myself enjoying anything either company (WWE or TNA) puts out there right now. To me the wrestling business is just at an all time low. Hopefully TNA gets outta this slump, but that doesn’t look to good when they’re pushing Hogan on TV…

Tonights show started strong I thought but dissipated into chaotic oblivion pretty quickly. That’s all I can really get my head around at the moment cause if I were to break down everything I’d be sitting here writing all night.

I don’t think TNA needs more TV time 2 hours is more then enough time a week to build to a PPV. They just need to use the time correctly.

Instead of the Best of 3 Series I wish they would have just added the stipulation they had for this series to the match they had last week between Bully Ray and Christopher Daniels.

If they are going to do a Best of 3 Series then they should have had 3 matches a clean sweep was stupid. Especially when the first match involved the X-Division Champion because Matt beating Kaz hurts the credibility of the X-Division Championship and makes the X-Division X-Cape Match at Lockdown now useless. Really the #1 Contender should now be Matt Hardy over who ever wins that X-Division X-Cape Match.

The Four Way Match was OK but I think for the most part they picked the wrong men to represent there respective teams.

    Madison Rayne’s Apology was OK.

The Six Man Tag Match was OK but the booking made no sense. Hernandez cut a promo a few weeks ago which if it had any meaning what so ever should have meant he should have not been fine to be in this match because none of his partners are Mexican.

The Network I had a major problem with this week because they changed a match at the PPV. Why on earth should Spike TV care what happens on a PPV?

The Voodo crap needs to go. It isn’t remotely entertaining.

The Main Event was pretty good. However the order of the people in the match made no sense. First of all it should have started with Rob Terry vs Mr. Anderson and Mr. Anderson should have squashed him easily but he didn’t beat anyone easily. The other one I had a problem with was Gunner he should have been the final challenger.

Like most weeks lately TNA should have ended when they went to the final commercial break. That would have been more impactfull then coming back from the break to talk to the wrestlers.

Great show! Everything was well paced and kept me on the edge of my seat. That 4 way was screwy though. I hate those matches where it involves 4 teams but they only start off with 2 teams in the ring… why cant all 4 be in the ring at the same time? Anyway great iMPACT and the Ice pick fits with “Cold Blood” Matt Hardy.

  6. vantheman77 says:

Much better Impact than last week as it builds to Lockdown. The main event scene is still awesome with the intrigue of who may replace Jeff Hardy to join Immortal.
