Happier times for Jay Lethal: Applying the Figure-Four to childhood hero the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair

Former TNA Wrestler Jay Lethal was on Online World of Wrestling Radio and Discussed TNA, here’s a transcript of what was said:

On speaking with Randy Savage for the first time and what Randy Savage thought of the impression: “The first conversation we had lasted for five minutes. It was a three way call because I did not believe that it was it was really the macho man, as the guy was trying to get me to believe it was really him. He told me he liked the stuff, he didnt see it on TV, but saw it on youtube, I didn’t think I offended him, I think I annoyed him, as this fan was calling him, as I am a fan of Macho Man, its very weird to have a fan call you, just to talk.” Read more of this post

BREAKING NEWS: Former X Division Champion Gone From TNA

Jay Lethal: Gone from TNA

Jay Lethal: Gone from TNA

Former X Division Champion, Jay Lethal has been removed from TNA’s roster page. PWInsider is reporting that while details haven’t been released, he is in fact done with TNA.

Ray’s Thoughts:

This is rather shocking news heading into Impact. Its hard to imagine a guy that TNA put over Ric Flair and the rest of Fortune just six+ months ago not being part of the TNA roster.

His push (which was much deserved in my opinion) was derailed late last year with a loss to Jeff Hardy and his feud with Flair and Fortune was pretty much dropped. I guess if TNA wasn’t going to do anything with him, then why waste his time. But i can’t help but think they dropped the ball with him and wasted a perfectly good run on TV.

I’d like to say Thank you  to Jay for the great TNA memories he delivered and hopefully you’ll be back at somepoint.

I expect that more roster cuts are on the way with alot of recent rumors of major changes within the company. The next one gone is your guess. More on this as it breaks.

*Update* A number of TNA stars are apparently upset with Jay Lethal’s sudden departure from TNA. The following remarks were written on Twitter.

Max Buck: “Ridiculous. Just ridiculous.”

Amazing Red: “…… ;( %&*$” “Morale has just took a nose dive (SMFH).”

Jeremy Buck: “worst possible thing to happen to r locker room.”

Tara wrote to Lethal: “Oh I hope this is just a rumor. Because I will miss you terribly.”

Jay himself also addressed the matter via Twitter, here’s what he had to say:

“While I am sad that my time with TNA has ended, I am looking forward to this next chapter of my career. Oooooh yeahh! Now taking booking.”

(Note to readers: I won’t be detailing TNA Wrestling Re-Wind’s any longer, as I don’t see the point. Please check out the excellent TNA iMPACT! reviews by Ray Mullan for detailed analysis of the iMPACT! shows, and take it from me that the opening 45 minutes of Xplosion is highlights of iMPACT! and adverts.
