TNA KEEPING HARDCORE JUSTICE NAME FOR AUGUST PPV? PROMO POSTER REVEALED!

IMPACT Wrestling have released a promotional poster for the 8/7 TNA PPV featuring Abyss, listing the show as “Hardcore Justice” so it appears TNA will maintain the usage of that name without retaining the ECW reunion theme.

The special double disc HardCORE Justice DVD is out now featuring the full 3hr ppv plus interviews, Q&A’s and other bonus extras. The match list is as follows:

Mikey Whipwreck Comments on TNA

Mikey Whipwreck

Mikey Whipwreck

Mikey Whipwreck recently commented on TNA During the “Low Blow” Radio Show. Among other topics a few of his highlights included:

Whipwreck on Hardcore Justice: “It was about what I had expected. At first I was thinking it was not such a hot idea bringing it back but at the same time I was happy for the guys who got to perform there. I think it was done on very short notice so some of the guys who hadn’t worked for a while could have negatively effected the show.

“Overall I thought it was alright but came across sort of fake as far as the atmosphere and fans went. At least that’s how it came across on TV. I was watching. I was contacted to work the event by Tommy Dreamer but I told him I wasn’t interested nor was in shape to do so.”

Whipwreck on TNA running ECW-themed house shows: “I really don’t think it would be a very good idea. I mean I’m sure they could draw 1,000-1,500 people for the shows, depending on where they went. However, I don’t really think this would do anything for TNA as far as their company goes. I think they need to focus on the younger guys and push them instead.”

Whipwreck on Paul Heyman joining TNA: “I think it would be good. As he said he would fire everyone over 40. He would put a lot more focus on the younger guys.”

Mr. Anderson responds to Paul Heyman’s comments that TNA isn’t ready for Heyman

Mr. Anderson

Mr. Anderson

During an interview on ESPN Radio in Milwaukee last night, TNA wrestler Mr. Anderson addressed Paul Heyman’s comments yesterday that “TNA isn’t ready” for Heyman to join TNA.

Anderson qualified his response by saying he’s not involved in the “backstage meetings” between Heyman and TNA president Dixie Carter to know what’s being said, but he’s not sure all of the personalities in management would be able to co-exist if Heyman were put in the mix.

“Would I like to see him? Yes. But, would I like for everybody to get along? I don’t know if all those people can co-exist at this point in TNA,” Anderson said in the interview on the Pro Wrestling Report show on ESPN Radio. “I would like that to happen and I like those people and I respect all those people.”

Anderson’s complete comment, in response to what Heyman said about ongoing TNA talks during an interview on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani yesterday, is as follows:

“I have to start off by saying I have no idea what goes on in those meetings. I chose not to take part or go down that path – I don’t want to get involved in booking. I want to wrestle. That’s what I want to do,” Anderson said.

“I don’t know what was said or what is currently going on behind-the-scenes in TNA. All I can say is that I have seen what Paul Heyman can do first-hand down in OVW. Read more of this post
